Vacuum Brazing of Dissimilar Al 7075 and Al–25 Si Alloy

چکیده

The vacuum brazing of dissimilar Al 7075 and Al–25 Si alloy was investigated. filler copper foil with a thickness 20 μm, the temperature 560 °C held for 10 min. average shear strength brazed joint 26.4 MPa. layer found to be dissolved completely, interface had an irregular shape serrated border, indicating good metallurgical bonding between two alloys. However, factors which might cause deterioration were also observed, including formation intermetallic compounds such as MgZn2, Cu2Al Mg2Si, existence voids microcracks, coarsening grains in 7075, primary alloy.
